Take Care Of Your Stuff and It Will Take Care Of You

My dad used to say that all the time, lol.  The fact is if your games and systems aren't in good shape they won't work. Tech N Gamer wants to help keep you gaming.  Here are a few things we recommend to make sure your system and you are happy and enjoying quality time together.  Another plus, the better shape your stuff is in the better price you will get if you decide to trade it!

Things You Should Do

  • Handle discs by the outer edge or the center hole.

  • Keep dirt or other foreign matter from the disc.

  • Store discs in original cases. Return discs to storage cases immediately after use.

  • Leave discs in their packaging (or cases) to minimize the effects of environmental changes.

  • Remove dirt, foreign material, fingerprints, smudges, and liquids by wiping with a clean cotton fabric.

  • Use CD/DVD cleaning detergent, isopropyl alcohol or methanol to remove stubborn dirt or material.

Things Not To Do

  • Touch the surface of the disc.

  • Bend the disc

  • Store discs horizontally for a long time (years).

  • Expose discs to extreme heat or high humidity.

  • Expose discs to extreme rapid temperature or humidity changes.

  • Expose discs to prolonged sunlight or other sources of UV light.

  • Write or mark in the data area of the disc (area where the laser "reads").
